The latest bright light in the chandelier of downtown dining, Restaurant Jezebel is a clever new eatery on Congress Avenue. The brainchild of co-owners Parind and Debora Vora is one part art gallery,  one part music salon and one great part fine dining. Relaxing bossa nova music and professional but unhurried service set a mood that tells diners they should reserve plenty of time to enjoy. Although the Voras present all the best elements of an urban dining experience, the very complex continental menu is the star of the show. Starters run a gamut from salad of Brasilian hearts of palm and fresh Peekie Toe crab cake to sauteed French helix escargot. Particularly ambitious regular main courses include delicacies such as dark French chocolate and dried spice crusted Atlantic salmon and succulent ten hour slow braised Colorado lamb shank. A sample menu that changes nightly features such innovations as Arizona ostrich with diver sea scallops and a wonderful roasted Hawaiian escolar. A  variety of green and black teas, Brazilian French press coffee and now a wonderful selection of wine, beer, and port/sherry accompany the food offerings and it will difficult to resist the rich Belgian chocolate mousse or Garam Masala rubbed bananas Foster. Before you leave don't hesitate to give one of the Voras a review of your meal, and be prepared to come back again and again.
